Moving Apps from Internal Storage to SD Card (#Huawei)
April 20, 2018 5:32 am
**Author is not responsible for anything that results from you testing these steps. This is not guaranteed to work nor is it from a ‘phone professional.’ I just bought an SD card and spent hours trying to figure out how to move things because the internet was generally unhelpful. This is what worked for me. If you are at all concerned about the risk, ask a professional phone person to help you.
Step 1 – Setting up SD Card
- Plug the SD card into your phone.
- Go to “Settings”
- At the bottom go to “Advanced Settings”
- Go to “Memory & Storage”
- Under “portable storage” click “SD card”
- Click “Format” if is possible.
- Go back to Memory & Storage
- Click “Default Location”
- Choose SD Card.
- The phone will restart and new things will go into the SD card from now on.
Step 2 – Moving Apps from Internal Storage to SD Card
- Go to “Settings”
- Go to “Apps”
- Click on the App you want to move.
- Click “Storage.” You’ll now see a line at the top that says “Storage Used Internal Storage”
- If it can be moved below that line should be a button “Change”
- Click “Change
- Choose “SD Card”
- Click “Move”
- You’ve done it!
