Air China held our/a lot of people’s bags last night so long that we all missed our flight. Instead, they put us in a hotel in Beijing while we wait to fly to Zhengzhou tonight. We get to stay here eating free meals and watching Chinese TV until the shuttle takes us to the airport tonight @ 7:00pm. Meanwhile we are eating our first Chinese brunch right now! 🙂

My Mom traveled to China many years ago and had a wonderful experience chaperoning a children’s music group. After a few weeks of asking what kind of tasty pasta was served with many meals (it was black) she was finally told that the pasta was actually baby eels. She still liked them.
