Legal Detes

This website is very important to me, as is my relationship with my readers.  To keep this relationship completely transparent, I wanted to go over a couple of details with you about my content. I know, this stuff is the boring info, but it really is important.

• STORES/ADS/LINKS TO PRODUCTS ~ Because a lot of what I do involves reviewing items and putting others in contact with sources, I use a lot of product links. These include stores (Book Store, Law Supplements Store, etc.), store advertisements, and direct links to products.  For many of these, I am part of a affiliates program (like with Amazon).  That means that I Get a Certain Percentage of Everything You Spend once you click onto those sites.  This is the primary way that I can afford to keep up this site (and pay back college loans eventually). The items don’t cost you anything extra, but the seller and I split the payment.  Usually not much, but there you have it.

• PHOTOGRAPHY/ART ~ A lot of the pictures I use on this website, including headers, are often my own photography.  As a professional photographer, I like to market/share my work. HOWEVER, if you look, you will find that there are also a great many photos collected from other photographers. Almost all of them come from the Creative Commons element of Weebly and Flickr, some from locations like DeviantArt. In all cases, I do my very best to give credit to the real artists.   But here is the crux. . . If you see art/photography on this website that belongs to another artist but is not attributed, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!. I understand how important it is to get credit for your work, and I make every effort to maintain this respect for others. If it isn’t attributed, I either missed it or could not find a name. Once the proper information is delivered to me, I will update my site.

• VIDEOS ~ Once again, I take very seriously the copyright laws and attribution needs of other artists/companies.  I obviously share a lot of videos on this website, predominantly those not uploaded by me (I’m not much of a video-maker).  So, if something belongs to you and you want me to (1) take it down or (2) attribute it differently, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!.  I will make every effort to accommodate your wishes, even removing the item if you so desire.

• REVIEWS ~ My reviews are always intended to be honest.  That means that I refuse to lie to my readers, even if the seller is paying me for a review. If the product/book sucks, I let people know.  So if I agree to review something, don’t assume that gets you a guaranteed “Great.” On the other hand, if I like it, my readers know that I’m telling them the truth.
