Anyone know what kind of flower this is? It was blooming outside of Seoul’s tourism center this summer, but I still can’t find out what kind it was. Isn’t it gorgeous!!

That is a bromeliad; I have three in my sunroom. Very common in Florida … water collects in the center and are breeding grounds for mosquitoes. Most varieties bloom only once in a lifetime … Theirs, not ours.
Oh, cool thanks π They were beautiful! They had some on both sides of the platform, and I thought they were fascinating. Although the mosquitoes were everywhere in Korea, so I’m guessing they wouldn’t notice the difference in added numbers π It’s so cool that I got to see them while they were blooming!
