Today, Ladies and Gentlemen, I come bearing both bad news and good news.

Bad news: I have officially met a pasta I refuse to eat.  Yes, that’s right. I, queen of pasta eating, turned up my nose at my Macaroni & Cheese this evening.  I then let my mother try.  She is willing to attempt anything, and in general, is the least picky person I know (her big limit is brains and eggs–there we get a resounding no, 🙂 ).  This pasta was so bad, that even she said it was disgusting and ran to get a drink.  The taste is still in our mouths.  Blech!  So I am warning you, as a friend and fellow cook, DO NOT try Mrs Leeper’s “Gluten Free Mac & Cheese.”  The sauce is disgusting, the pasta utterly bland.  Even spices couldn’t bring that meal to life!  Ewwwwww.

Now, on to more pleasant topics.  I also attempted Betty Crocker’s “Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix”–it is to die for!  They come out the same as any other cookie mix I’ve tried that was not gluten-free, and in fact are a little better.  They come out crisp and delicious. Definitely worth a try.  So for the first time, I am afraid I must suggest skipping the sides dish and going straight for dessert.  Much better that way!
