Jazzy Outfit!

Not that I necessarily love the style itself ~ 20s pole dresses are more my mom’s style than mine (I like the 40s and 50s) ~ but I just adore girls who are confident enough to dress up “sassily” and have some fun with their style.  It took a lot of courage for me to just wear my really big, feathery headband out on a non-Halloween day ~ but I really want to be more confident about my slightly unique sense of style  like this girl is!

Fashion I ♥: Prada’s New Rainbow of Custom Heels

Will never be able to afford a pair, but these are really awesome.  The custom coloring and finish should make it pretty easy to actually match a pair to your outfit.  Love the idea; Hate the cost. 🙂 **DB

Wish List: Prada’s New Rainbow of Custom Heels

by Veronica Misako Gledhill via “The Cut

Despite their height and pitch, Prada heels seem so much more comfortable than other options out there. And that’s why our eyes went wide at the thought of Prada’s new custom-made shoe program, where customers can create a Made-to-Order Decollete pump or peep toe — choosing between an array of five finishes, 27 colors, sole colors, and shoebox colors. You can even opt to have your initials monogrammed on the soles. From design and purchase at the store, buyers can expect to have their new heels on their feet in a month. While prices start at $745, we think these are the perfect option for anyone who’s a diehard when it comes to heels — or someone who is looking to play the long game with pumps that are built to last.

L'exposition Charles James : Beyond Fashion du Met Costume Institute 2014

Anglo-American designer Charles James (1906-1978) is one the biggest names in mid 20th century American fashion, a designer who thought of fashion as a mathematical science. From Thursday May 8 to Sunday August 10, 2014, the Costume Institute at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art is opening to the doors to the “Charles James: Beyond Fashion” exhibition, which celebrates the work of the visionary designer. With just a few days until it officially opens, Vogue.fr brings you a look at some of the iconic images on display in this year’s MET exhibition, which draws huge crowds every year.

Fashion Dreams: Oscar de la Renta Embellished Gown

Oscar de la Renta Embellished Floral Brocade Gown found on Polyvore

Almost everything about this gown speaks to me ~ the simple neckline and sleeves, the colors and patterns, the length.  I am not a huge fan of the colorless shoulder straps ~ perhaps a pink or light green outline as opposed to the “Black and White” fading into “Color” look?  Still, this would be amazing for a spring formal event.  Lovely and elegant, but vibrant and bright.
