While visiting the Kawasaki Mall in Yokohama, I was surprised to find that Teen Top was visiting the mall for a fan meeting the same day. We sat around for a few hours waiting for the meeting to start, and the mall was playing the band’s videos and music on big tv’s around the area.
This little girl loved the music and started dancing around! She actually has a great sense of rhythm! 🙂 So cute! ❤

LOL! I admit that as a historian, I tend to enjoy things that most find incredibly boring. I actually like reading biographies and books talking about the life of Marie Antoinette, Mata Hari, Nero, and other famous figures. But, I realize that many in the world do not share my great love.
So, in honor of both the historian and the non-historian, I would like to recommend BBC’s Horrible Histories (posted on Youtube by gazza6359). These films are short (5 minutes), hilarious, and present history is a theater-esque fashion. Sometimes slightly crude, but always good for a laugh, these videos teach history from a new standpoint–no more long-winded books! Just funny movies set in olden days talking about the mysteries of history. Give them a try!

Holy cow! I’ve heard of eagles taking puppies and small pets for food, but this bird tries to take a baby! It picks it up far enough to be above the mom’s head, and is flying off with the infant!! Wow! Talk about a story to tell your kids!
Addendum–>Haha! They say now, it’s a joke, but still very funny and well done. I actually have seen eagles pick up huge things before. If you want to see them, visit Clarksville, MO on eagle days Jan. 26-27, 2013. I once counted 47 eagles on a single day, and I was only there a couple hours. They come down looking for food as the Mississippi River ices over. I’ll try to post pics this year. You can find more information here. I’ve never quite gotten into the Hello Kitty craze. I liked Barbie, I loved Polly Pocket, and My Little Pony was a keeper. But, Hello Kitty? Not so much. Still, that’s just me. The little girls I’ve babysat and my many female second cousins are scooping these products up like they’ll never go out of style. I even see college girls walking around with Hello Kitty Backpacks!
So in honor of all those female tweens and tweens-at-heart, here is an amazing Hello Kitty exhibition promoting tree-planting in Japan. This thing even shoots lasers! It’s like a superman Hello Kitty!
Season’s Greetings! With 2 finals left, I’m finally getting into the Christmas spirit. My family drove around last night looking at lights, and they helped jump start some of that spirit 🙂 So I thought I would share this awesome Christmas light display/music show someone sent me.
