Blue of the Sea

Spring is here!

The cherry trees are blooming, the dogwoods flowering, and the sun is sharing its warmth.

Today it was so nice, I stopped at the “Honey Drink” shop and picked up a “blue drink.” They called it a “lan seng” or that’s what it sounded like. 🙂

It’s a mixture of syrup/flavoring, oranges, lemon / lime, and ice. Taste’s like a blue Popsicle!

The shop is one of many “student-owned” businesses here on campus. They have an Incubation Center and a focus on Entrepreneurship, so the school encourages students to start up their own businesses. If you get a chance to visit Xinzheng, let me know and I’ll treat you!

Whee! Scary Marble Mountain Slide

Climb Liaojieling Mountain in Henan, and you get the opportunity to check out this sweet marble slide! It goes about 3 city blocks down and immediately dead ends on a 2ft platform leading to a major 20 ft+ drop off. The only thing between you and the fall is a unreliable large net. FUN! 😛 It was tons of fun actually, pretty awesome!

New Fiverr Gig! ~ Postcard from China

I have a new gig on Fiverr! I’m sending postcards to people from China! Doesn’t that sound like fun? I know I would have had fun with it when I was a kid. I used to collect all the foreign stamps I received, dreaming of the path the package had taken to get to me 🙂

Anyway, I’ve started a new gig on the program Fiverr. You purchase it for $5 +.80 cents shipping and I’ll send the postcard out within 2 business days. They will include a message in Chinese too! 🙂 Link is here.

I have been horribly amiss, and I must officially apologize to all of my readers. I promised you an update some time ago on my visit to Door County Wisconsin and I didn’t update.
