I recently asked my ESL student to give me the dictionary’s English definition of “Committee” (I teach Business Law to Juniors). The response I got was “a special group delegated to consider some matter and that keeps minutes and loses hours.”
I’m pretty sure my student has no idea what the last part means, but apparently committee inefficiency is not just a joke anymore, it’s official!

How Rude!
17 FebHah! I was practicing Chinese this morning and trying to make use of Google Translate’s voice translation. I told it “San” the Chinese word for three, and do you know the sucker told me? LOL! Yes, that’s right, it translated three, thought a moment and told me lol! How rude! Also, best bad translation ever!
Bad Translations: Blueberry Muffin

Lol, I ordered a “blueberry muffin” at this really sweet cafe near home. The cafe is 4 stories and you can go up on the top floors to sit and watch the world go by. They told me the blueberry muffin had blueberry sauce poured over it, and I thought that sounded like something good. Then I got this huge, totally awesome creature with whipped cream and blueberry sauce! Unfortunately, they gave use clear plastic gloves to eat it instead of a fork, so it was slightly messy. But DELICIOUS!

18 DecLol, when I edited his paper, I wrote that he should write in the “Title” of the article as part of the introduction. Unfortunately, He copied me exactly (almost) and wrote, ‘In the article, “tittle.”‘ So when another student copied the exact same introduction, “tittle” carried over. 0_0 If you’re going to copy, don’t mis-spell obvious words. It makes me look
