How to use Adobe Signature

24 Sep

This is a brief tutorial on how to use Adobe Reader’s ‘Signature’ tool.

Step 1 Open the PDF you want to sign.

I started with a blank page to make it easier to see.

Ignore the Microeconomics textbook open in the corner 😂

Step 2 Click the ‘ink quill’ symbol on the far right side of the toolbar

It looks like this when opened:

Step 3 Click Add Signature

If it doesn’t automatically appear, click the blue ink quill + ‘sign’ symbol.

Step 4 Enter your Signature

You have multiple choices on how to input a signature. You can

  • 1) Type it and the computer will use a ‘signature font’
  • 2) Hand write it if you have a pen and touchscreen — most authentic
  • 3) Input an image of your signature

If you don’t like the signature font when typing, click the ‘style’ button and choose a different font.

Step 5Click ‘Applyand move the signature wherever you want it on the screen.

If you have a line you need to put it on, just drag it over there using your mouse.

Step 6 Save as a new PDF

You’re done! Signed and ready to email.

Fried Rice Recipe Attempt!

18 Sep

First efforts at making Fried Rice at home – well, first at making any rice! 😄 Since I’ve lived in Asia 6 years now, thought I ought to try 🍚 Came out DELICIOUS! It’s seriously as good as any I’ve ever tried before!

.
Rice was shockingly easy:
+ Cups of rice (your choice) – I mixed rice types & it came out good ✅
+2 Cups if Water per Cup of rice
+ Salt (I used a shaker and put about 4 twists)

Get water really boiling (high medium heat) for a few minutes. Throw in rice & salt. Put on lid and leave at same heat for 18 minutes. Don’t take off the lid! Turn off but leave covered until pan is cooled. Refrigerate overnight for #FriedRice

Fried Rice:
+3-4 Cups of Cooked Rice (next day)
+1 Bag of frozen mixed vegetables or mix fresh of (corn, peas, carrots)
+2-3TBSP Oil for frying (Olive, Sesame, Vegetable)
+ 3-4T Soy Sauce (add more to cover as needed – it goes a long way)
+ Fresh Garlic (sliced thinly to taste)

Cook vegetables and garlic first in oil until done, stirring occasionally. Add rice and stir in slowly until rice is thoroughly warmed and mixed in. Add Soy Sauce. Warm a little longer. SERVE! 🍚🍚

Queen of Problem Solving!

14 Sep

You know that Job interview question “What is one time you faced a difficult situation and how did you resolve or handle the situation?” I like that question, because let me count the ways!

Just spent a week working with a US partner, the US partner’s supplier, the supplier’s International division, the US supplier again, their superior, and their superior’s superior — they concluded we couldn’t do what needed to be done.

After reviewing the online system capabilities, I found a way and instead we have successfully set up a program to run the system out of both US and China. It just took 10 minutes to adapt, and voila! We are up and running!

If nothing else, working internationally gives you a lot of experience in handling difficult situations and in finding innovative solutions. Sometimes you have to patchwork things together with duct tape and glue to get it operating, but success is always possible — somehow, somewhere. You just have to be open-minded enough to try many solutions until you find the right one.
